We are dedicated to raising awareness about gun violence and advocating for effective laws. Our mission is to educate young adults about their rights and responsibilities regarding firearms in a safe and constructive manner so that they can use their voice to vote accordingly.
Firearms continue to be one of the leading causes of death among young people in the United States. When a young life is taken by gun violence, decades of possibility are stolen. They were robbed from a chance to grow, build a family, contribute to the world, and follow their dreams. These tragedies ripple outward, leaving lasting scars on families, neighborhoods, and entire communities.
In these deeply personal interviews, survivors relive the terror, loss, and pain that forever changed their lives and the haunting memories they carry every day.
On April 17, 2025, shortly after noon a stark alert ripped through the FSU campus. The alert was "active shooter and shelter in place". Panic set in immediately, but for this student, the terror ran even deeper. She had already survived one nightmare, the Parkland shooting in 2018 and now the unbearable horror was happening all over again 7 years later.
Craig Scott, who lived through the horror of the Columbine shooting, reflects on the day that shattered his innocence and left a mark he carries to this day.
Two decades later, the survivors of Sandy Hook reflect on the memories, the loss, and the strength that has carried them through a lifetime shaped by unimaginable tragedy.
